Description

Main Duties

• Provide effective business partnering to suppliers and business stakeholders with invoice / payment queries. Review, document and resolve as required ensuring quality communication and resolution.

• Prepare, review and implement Reports and Controls required for Government legislation on Payment Practice and reporting requirements to defined timelines

• To provided monthly aged creditors reporting and analytics, outlining controls and checks completed on P2P / payment process's and comments / actions required

• Generate monthly KPI's covering P2P, Payments and Supplier set up data. Including commentary and actions on variances and trend analysis

• Ensure quality controls and checks are in place to measure supplier Statement reconciliation, supporting aged creditor / Finance balance sheet and P&L integrity

• Produce monthly reporting, evidencing that P2P, Payment, Supplier Set up, process documentation is compliant with evidence of control checks taken and any changes required

• Provide proactive support on projects and small pieces of work that will generate process efficiencies. Incorporating process documentation, reviews, proposals, team meetings, actions, owners and outcomes to due date requirements

• To supervise and develop Supplier set up team

• Support to Purchase to pay Manager on process tasks as required

Profile

The successful candidate

• Proficient in Outlook, and Word.
• Previous experience in Accounts Payable, Transactional outsourced services environment
• Experience of Peoplesoft Financials, Proactis Purchase Point, & Western Union GlobalPay software useful but not essential.
• Demonstrate awareness of HMRC requirements in respect of VAT and payments within UK Banking system.
• Experience of working in professional services or a partnership desirable but not essential.
• Intermediate excel knowledge, in particular knowledge of key analytical functions and macros is desirable
• Ability to carry out and understand reconciliations, with exceptional eye for detail.
• Strong analytical and numerical ability - able to analyse and interpret data, evaluate data and make recommendations based on data and market trends
• Commitment to delivering exceptional client service to internal stakeholders
• Experience of working as a financial analyst in a finance function or professional services organisation will be advantageous.
• Excellent planning and organising skills - able to manage multiple tasks effectively
• Knowledge of PeopleSoft advantageous
• Able to communicate effectively and confidently with high level personnel such as Partners
• Able to identify process weaknesses or errors and highlight these to management
