Since its formation the company has distributed more than 1,000 films and more than 100 Academy Award winners. The company continues to bring many of the most exciting films made today to international cinema audiences worldwide with distribution offices in 16 countries outside of North America and licensees in a further 43 and can boast holding non-theatrical rights in all markets outside North America.

Your new role
This is a Tax Manager role working in a team of 3 in the companies head office in West London. This role will ideally suit a candidate making a 2nd move in an in-house tax role with a big 4 practice background dealing with large multi nationals. That said the company will not rule out very strong candidates looking to make a first move into a C&I tax role from practice.

Reporting to the Tax Director you will be responsible for overseeing direct and indirect tax compliance, tax reporting and tax payments across the Group and ensuring compliance with all tax obligations including disclosures in the group tax returns.

You will deal with all all tax related matters in respect of the group operating companies and 42 licensees including direct and indirect taxes, including payroll taxes; tax audits and investigations, including post-entry customs audits and discussion of all material audit issues with Tax Director; licence agreements; dividend planning; preparation of tax audit updates and provisions for inclusion in quarterly tax compliance and litigation reports, as applicable and keeping informed of developments in tax legislation and briefing the tax team appropriately.

You will oversee the entire withholding tax process; review of annual financial statements and tax returns for operating companies in an accurate and timely manner prior to submission; annual submission of reports to HMRC; preparation of annual US tax return and obscure returns.

You will assist the Tax Director with preparation of financial and other supporting data for inclusion in Transfer Pricing documentation and review of final reports.

You will be required to respond to ad hoc queries and assist with projects relating to the tax affairs of the group.

You will provide technical support and advice to the Group in respect of all aspects of tax, where appropriate, and researching and understanding technical matters and presenting them in a comprehensible and practical way.

Review work of the Tax Assistant to ensure all relevant deadlines met.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified accountant or tax professional with a recognised professional qualification (ACCA, ACA or CTA) and will have sufficient post qualification experience to meet the specific requirements of this exciting role.

It is expected that you will have experience of and will be comfortable dealing with the overall tax function of a multi-national and will have significant experience (UK and International) across direct and indirect tax processes, transfer pricing, OECD BEPS and inter country reporting in addition to excellent organisational and time management skills.
