The Role

If you're interested in finance and like putting your analytical and problem-solving skills to the test, then our Finance Management Trainee Programme may be the pathway for you.

As a Wates Financial Management Trainee, you will be involved in: 

  • Assisting with quarterly forecasting and bank reconciliations
  • Calculation and entry of monthly accruals and prepayments
  • To assist in preparing the monthly reporting pack for distribution to senior  management
  • To assist the finance team in completing detailed annual budgets and rolling forecasts
  • Work closely with the finance teams to settle intercompany balances on a monthly basis
  • To provide other analysis reports required by your Manager or wider Finance Team
  • Communicate with finance and commercial teams to resolve any queries

What we're looking for

  • Ability to communicate with a range of people, including customers, clients and key stakeholders
  • Competence in the use of Management Information Systems and Excel
  • A desire to become a member of ACCA or CIMA
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical problem solving skills
  • An understanding of the need for privacy, strict compliance and security measures in dealing with sensitive data and confidential business information

Entry Requirements

Graduate Scheme: 2:1 Degree in a related subject (including a Grade B in Maths GCSE)

Location:

Leatherhead with some travel required
