The Opportunity Churchill Howard is working in partnership with a well known Birmingham based business who are searching for a Commercial Finance Manager. This individual will work with the operations and senior management team to provide robust financial information and aid in decision support. This role is easily commutable from Birmingham, Warwickshire, Worcestershire and the West Midlands. The Role The Commercial Finance Manager is required to take a broader role in managing the business beyond day-to-day management of financial planning and results. The key attributes to be successful in this role are proven financial, commercial and business acumen. An ability to manage and inspire teams across the business and experience of harnessing technology to support business development and improve management information. As a commercial Finance Manager the key responsibilities will be: To advise and support business unit senior management in the development of strategy and financial plans, and in the commercial, operational and financial delivery of strategic objectives. To empower the business to take financial decisions and be accountable for the outcomes. To be valued as an effective business partner contributing fully to key decisions. To provide timely and robust financial information to support decision making. To improve the efficiency and effectiveness of financial processes and controls, and risk management. To manage direct reports effectively, motivating and empowering them to make decisions, improving competency of the finance team and supporting individual development and progression. The Person A Qualified Accountant with more than 5 years post qualification experience in a commercial finance role. A proven track record of influencing broad business change and supporting development of IT systems and management information. Strong communication skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with senior management. A natural self starter who is highly organised with excellent influencing skills. Salary & Benefits Circa. £60,000 benefits
