Our client is an international law firm with 23 offices across the globe and currently has over 1000 staff. The firm has won many awards over the years, including International Law Firm of the Year. They are now looking to recruit an Accounts Payable Officer to assist the Accounts Payable team in processing supplier invoices. The successful applicant will have previous Accounts Payable experience and have knowledge of Solicitor Accounts Rules. Responsibilities Raise weekly BACS payment of supplier invoices Assisting the AP & Cashiering Manager with improving efficiencies within the department in order to maximise service to the firm Assisting the AP & Cashiering Manager with team development and ensuring departmental training needs are met Assisting with various projects in order to progress the department to include but not exclusive to - set up of SEPA electronic bank details within Aderant and implementation of new systems Assisting AP Manager with writing of firm policies in order to remain compliant with current SARs To input supplier invoices, disbursements and employee expenses onto Aderant Accounts system To check correct coding of General ledger invoices to correct Budget codes Ensuring client disbursements are paid in line with Solicitors Accounts Rules Reconciliation of Client/Matter ledger balances to ensure SAR compliance Dealing with SAR breaches/queries & correcting any errors to ensure SAR compliance Dealing with telephone queries from suppliers Reconciliation of various supplier statements and the firm's Purchasing card Liaising with Risk & Compliance department regarding set up of New Suppliers Any other duties as required to cover departmental needs Candidate Profile The successful candidate will have proven Accounts Payable experience In-depth knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules.
