Audit Senior Opportunities - Milton Keynes £35K - £40K We currently have a high demand for applicants with public practice experience at audit senior level. We are recruiting for an established firm of accountants in Milton Keynes that continues to grow and create more career opportunities for ambitious ACA / ACCA qualified audit senior level professionals. There is flexibility in recruiting for the firm and we can consider applicants with pure audit experience looking for exposure to a more varied accounts and audit position or applicants with more accounts experience looking to gain greater audit exposure. The main underlying requirements are that applicants must have public practice experience at audit senior level, be up to date with audit and accounting standards and be eligible to work in the UK. The role itself will can be flexed to suit current level of experience and ability but the work exposure itself will revolve largely around the following: Managing client relations from a defined portfolio Take responsibility for audit and accounts files, resolving queries with managers and clients prior to the review stage, ensuring that files are of a consistently high standard (defined as fully drafted accounts; limited queries outstanding; recommendations where necessary). Undertake audit fieldwork assignments completing files to manager review. The role itself will combine staff management with considerable client contact and is offering a high level of responsibility and autonomy. This is an excellent career development opportunity to be given the responsibility of managing a small portfolio of clients and be the main point of contact for your clients. The role will be varied and will largely revolve around dealing with the audit (60%) and accounting (40%) requirements for SMEs; clients will be varied and include a mixture of manufacturing, charities and overseas subsidiaries. The role will provide you with significant direct client contact and you will also have the opportunity to supervise and support junior staff members, which will require strong technical and communication skills. This is a varied and career rewarding opportunity which you can either use to progress within the firm or as a stepping stone on your career journey.
