Manchester Spinningfields (we can also potentially consider a London base with travel to Manchester) £Competitive salary Are you a Head of Internal Audit with Plc experience within a regulated environment (i.e. financial services or insurance)? Have you previously set up a new internal audit team, or have experience as part of a new set-up? If so, please apply immediately We are seeking Head of Internal Audit to join our Business Excellence team in Manchester. Our existing Business Excellence team has been conducting Internal Audit and compliance work for a number of years. This work has focussed on compliance with Regulatory requirements and a range of internal processes and procedures for servicing clients. From 2019-20, this foundation will be built on further by expanding the Internal Audit plan into the areas of financial processes, overseas entities and wider strategic risks. The Head of Internal Audit is a new position within DWF and will ensure strengthened internal controls around core financial processes and procedures, strategic risk reviews and reviews of overseas entities. This role is critical to managing risks in the lead up to some exciting changes coming up with DWF in the near future. As a dynamic audit professional, this role will sit amongst the senior leadership team of Group Risk, reporting into the Director of Group Risk. You will be providing independent, objective assurance to both the Board Audit Committee and Board Risk Committee. The appointed individual will become a trusted adviser and critical voice to the Group and its Stakeholders. This is a new position within DWF and we would look for you to set up your own team - with potentially one direct report in the first instance. This is an ideal opportunity for a dynamic audit professional with Plc experience to join our international business and utilise their background working independently and in a matrix environment.
