A US backed global distributor with significant EMEA presence which helps ensure a reliable fast and efficient service to internal and external customers and suppliers. With over 100 years of history, this successful and forward thinking organisation is looking to hire an experienced finance professional who can come and add significant value to their working capital position.

Your new role
Working with a highly experienced and well established shared service leadership team, the role is working in partnership with AP teams, the wider finance team, supply chain, and purchasing teams. Following numerous data migration exercises, and with varied contractual terms with suppliers, you will be responsible for understanding and auditing the current master data position in order to improve reporting. Investigating and validating AP metrics, supplier structures and costs, you will explore patterns relevant to building a good view of working capital and opportunities.

Excited by data, you will be building dashboards for use across the business. You will then analyse data, liaise across the business to develop working capital opportunities by country and product group. With the unique visibility in post you will advise on proforma payments and payment terms with new and existing vendors, influencing key stakeholders across EMEA

What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced qualified accountant with experience in industry. With experience of working in large complex businesses and finance teams, you will have great analytical and reporting skills and may have project experience alongside the day to day. Used to working with sophisticated ERP, finance and reporting systems, you will be highly proficient on Excel and enjoy working with data and analytics. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to work independently to achieve deadlines and tasks, whilst having the initiative to identify, highlight and drive through opportunities for efficiency, cost saving and revenue generation. Process orientated with a commercial flair you will communicate well with colleagues on all levels and enjoy instigating change to drive the bottom line.
