Finance Manager

URGENT required for an experienced SME Finance Manager for a highly progressive company in Milton Keynes.

The job opportunity of Finance Manager is a newly created position within the finance function following a recent acquisition. This is a great opportunity for a 'hands on' SME Finance Manager and very much make this role there own.

Your new role

As the Finance Manager you will have responsibility for the whole accounting function, ensuring the smooth running and time production of both the monthly and annual accounts. You will will also manage a small team and also have dotted line responsibility for an additional remotely located team member.

Responsibilities will include:

• Management and development of all aspects of the Company's accounting and reporting, systems, procedures and protocols.
• Preparation of the monthly management accounts inclusive of commentary
• Responsible for the management preparation and issuing of sales invoices and credit notes
• Management and control of, debt collection and the management of company cashflow
• Production of appropriate cash updates and forecasts.
• Manage all aspects of credit control, including credit account assessment through to instigating legal action
• Responsible for ensuring that all VAT and overseas tax returns are submitted to the authorities in time
• Responsible for all inter-company accounts.
• Ensure the accurate and timely completion of the monthly/weekly payroll and year end P60's, P11D's, expense analysis and CIS return.

What you'll need to succeed
The role would suit either a qualified or qualified by experience candidate that brings the wider range of experience and also understands the need to maintain a 'hands on' approach. Previous sector experience either from Utilities, Construction or Engineering would be an advantage but not essential. A natural ability to manage, mentor and develop a small team is also essential. Interested candidates should be available either immediately or at very short notice due to the urgency in the need to appoint to the role.
