A FTSE 250 technology business is looking for an interim group accountant to join their team for 6-9 months. The Group requires a proactive individual with experience of working in financial accounting to lead the subsidiary statutory reporting process. The candidate will manage the process end to end, being the first point of contact with the auditors and also preparing the accounts. Key

Responsibilities:
Preparation of statutory accounts (in multiple currencies) for multiple entities within the group and prepared using various standards including EU-IFRS, FRS 101, and a number of overseas GAAPs. Interacting with the auditors, being the first point of call for questions raised on the statutory accounts and working closely with the Group Finance team to find the most efficient and effective solutions to any problems which may arise. Managing all stakeholders including the Financial Controller, CoSec, FP&A and other members of the extended finance team. Ensuring timely and accurate completion of the statutory reporting process Pro-actively seeking areas to improve both the statutory reporting process and the external audit and related internal processes. Essential Knowledge and Skills: Professional accounting qualification (ACA or overseas equivalent) Previous experience of preparing or auditing statutory accounts across different jurisdictions Previous experience of SAP Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, IFRS
