Job Summary The Technical Proposition Delivery team was set up as a result of the implementation of SWIFT. The team are primarily responsible for developing and managing product and pricing data within Swift with further responsibilities surrounding the configuration of documentation to support our products The scope of technical proposition delivery also encompasses other systems such as Dynamics CRM and business intelligence software such as InRule, and Products that reside on other systems such as Cash Plan. The team is led by a Technical Proposition Delivery Manager, with a small team of functional experts with knowledge of the business and key technical skills. Product and pricing data is a central component of SWIFT and plays an important role in support of a wide range of business processes and system functionality, for example, selling & renewing products, claiming and document production. Key Responsibilities
• To develop technical product and pricing solutions in line with Bupa initiatives and timescales and deploy these into the testing and production environments
• To document these solutions for future reference and knowledge transfer
• To identify and drive business efficiencies by ensuring correct product and pricing configuration
• To deal with product and pricing BAU requests to provide quick wins for the business
• To resolve defects within project deliveries and live incidents
• To provide technical consultancy and expertise to other development areas, particularly where there are interdependencies between product data and other system functionality
• To work cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical colleagues to deliver BHF initiatives
• To support the review of complex tender requests for corporate and affinity groups, providing advice and/or technical solutions to various stakeholders (Product Managers, NPC, Project Teams)
• To configure literature or deliver changes to document pack configurations within various systems on instruction
• To support the Project teams working on literature changes
• To work cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical colleagues to deliver BHF initiatives Essential Skills
• Good communications skills (verbal and written) and the ability to articulate complex technical issues or solutions to business and technical colleagues
• Good inter-personal skills to help establish good relationships across other functional areas (i.e. Change management and IS)
• The ability to work as part of a team and autonomously whether project based or within Product delivery
• Able to pick up new technology quickly with an aptitude for technical work and interested in using new platforms
• The ability to spot trends and identify outcomes through logic, understanding information when presented in a data format Preferred Skills
• Experience in a technical role within one of the following business areas: Service/Operations/Claims, IS/Systems Management, Sales/Commercial or Change Management
• An understanding of system integration
• Experience of Oracle or SQL
• Exposure to or experience of MS Dynamics CRM
• Experience with one or more of the following products: PMI, CashPlan, Travel or Dental
• Ideally knowledge of IS Systems such as Swift, with broad experience of different functions within it, for example, claims, sales, administration, pricing, rules and documentation
• Knowledge of Access and Excel
• Knowledge of interfaces to other systems (i.e. ERP, POINT and Web)
• Knowledge of system delivery methodologies (i.e. Waterfall or Agile)
