Community Banking is a key division in LBG that provides a range of products and services to customers and businesses across the UK. There are 18,000 branches servicing customer needs. This role is focused on the Product and Channel support, covering both the retail and community banking COO functions, Retail Customer Delivery, Motor operations, Cardnet, Colleague experience. As Head Of Audit, you'll be responsible for leading the development and implementation of a high quality audit response for these business areas through the management of a team, influencing business strategy, working practices and standards by providing insight, judgment and technical expertise. You'll proactively challenge, advise and influence senior management and executives on a wide range of control issues impacting these businesses. Naturally, you'll apply and champion the Group Audit methodology and standards and keep abreast of audit best practice and the changing regulatory environment. As a senior leader, you'll develop, coach and motivate colleagues to create high performing teams that consistently demonstrate group values. You will also support the Audit Director for Retail and Community Banking in delivering this core assurance. Ideally you'll possess professional qualifications, a recognised accounting/auditing qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar, with extensive post-qualification experience. You'll have worked in and/or audited (internally and/or externally) major commercial banks, as well as demonstrating business experience. You'll have strong negotiating skills and the gravitas to influence in a complex and diverse stakeholder environment. You'll also have a proven track record of delivery, managing under pressure and meeting tight deadlines. Excellent analytical, presentation and communication skills are essential.
