The Role As Ethical Compliance Manager you will: Support the business by leading the ethical compliance programme for the group, undertaking investigations into potential ethical compliance issues Work throughout the organisation to ensure the company is at the forefront of ethical trade both for the business and its suppliers Monitor the supply base through pro-active management of our audit programme & drive improvement through ongoing work with suppliers Work towards achieving the company's ethical sourcing objectives in line with our Modern Slavery statement Responsibilities Establish, develop and maintain good relationships with suppliers to resolve ethical issues and ensure continuous improvement Create corrective action plans with suppliers with clear timelines for remediation Conduct spot checks on UK and global manufacturing sites Develop and manage supply chain database ensuring that all manufacturing sites are compliant and have relevant SMETA Develop and manage programme to gain transparency beyond tier 1 manufacturing sites Conduct internal audits across the estate Manage Sedex membership and ensure all relationships are kept current Liaise with any third party employment agencies to ensure minimum standards are being met Communicate ethical standards to internal and external stakeholders Role Requirements Confident communication skills with the ability to adapt based on audience Proven track record in developing and managing social compliance auditing and related services Experience and understanding of the manufacturing process Experience of monitoring supply chain compliance in the retail sector Have strong understanding of relevant UK and international legislation and guidance including UK employment law, ETI base code and the Modern Slavery Act Sound understanding of the SMETA audit methodology and relevant audit tools Experience of factory assessments, detailing visit observations and findings SA8000 training desired To apply please submit a current CV by clicking the 'apply' button.
