Our client, a multi-bullion pound PLC, are seeking a Financial Planning Analyst to strengthen the team in a time of significant growth. This is a 12 month fixed term contract reporting into the Regional Finance Manager, and will be partnering with a number of business units around the world. Some UK and European travel may be required (up to a max of 20%) Responsibilities and Duties Supporting the commercial organisation with detailed level of financial analysis to minimise the risks and maximise the opportunities, including weekly & monthly requirements. Strong working relationship with the commercial lead and management team of the organisation as well as the European FP&A team including Monthly and Quarterly meetings (sometimes off site) Strong working relationship with the European shared service team and cross functional teams Monitor & report on sales commissions / bonuses, sales rep performance and advise on annual targets at a detailed level Complete full detailed P&L Rolling Latest Best Estimates (RLBE's) in an accurate and timely manner for corporate analysis (presentations) Complete full detailed P&L monthly performance variance analysis Complete weekly revenue variance analysis Proactive member of Group strategic projects as and when required Compliance of statutory and tax requirements / external audits etc. Reporting development Contract compliance & instrument management Drive pricing analysis and implement monitoring (incl. evaluation of new contracts & customer profitability). Ad hoc business case reviews Custodian and handling of confidential information Ad hoc analysis Personal Characteristics Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail and good business judgement Effective communicator (written & verbal) to various stakeholders, both internal and external Self-starter, ability to organise, schedule and prioritise, possess flexibility and ability to work under pressure and achieve tight deadlines in a fast-changing environment and ambiguous situations Positive attitude, team player and high level of initiative, energy and enthusiasm Requirements Fully Qualified (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) At least 3 years working in Finance or similar environment in international organisation Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) HFM, Smartview, SAP and QlikView knowledge preferable This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/84666304
