The International Tax Manager will be responsible for assisting in all international tax matters including compliance, tax planning and audit support, coordinating international aspects of consolidated income tax provision and US tax reporting, and structuring tax efficient international expansion. This role is based in Manchester, UK and will report to the Sr. Manager, EMEA Tax. Your main duties and responsibilities will be to: Provide support for US federal international related compliance (Forms 5471/8858, 926, 8883, 5452, 5713, 1118) and Form 1042 compliance Assist with quarterly/year-end international provision data gathering, and review Assist with E&P / tested income calculations, quantifying Subpart F income, foreign source income, foreign tax adjustments and foreign apportionment factors required for U.S. federal and state income tax filings Assist with the implementation of international tax planning strategies and management of existing structures Keep informed of new international tax developments and work with the Sr. Manager EMEA Tax to consider impact on current business operations; and ensure compliance with any new requirements Collaborate closely with the international accounting teams around payments, quarterly tax reporting, transfer pricing, inter company settlement, M&A activity, and statutory and year-end group reporting Oversee international tax compliance process, including managing the external compliance relationship with tax advisors, and coordinating external audits Connect with the wider commercial and corporate teams to identify tax related issues and opportunities around new business initiatives, such as entering new markets Provide support and assistance to the transfer pricing team Assist with managing relationships with outside tax consultants and regulatory authorities on an ongoing basis Continually identify and drive process improvements around all aspects of tax We are looking for a candidate who has/is: International tax experience with a public accounting firm, law firm, and/or in a multinational corporation Bachelor's degree required, preferred in Accounting/Finance Chartered accountant (or equivalent) or Chartered tax advisor Proficient in Microsoft software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Oracle preferred Possess communication (verbal and written) and financial analysis skills required to convey tax impacts of complex technical issues to nontax stakeholders Demonstrated ability to manage complex issues, processes and relationships Strong interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills Highly organized with the ability to pay close attention to detail This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/84950274
