Job Details

The Finance Director will contribute fully to the development of company strategy across all areas of the business; challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate and providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets and business drivers.

The FD will be responsible for a broad range of finance related activities covering, but not limited to financial reporting, strategic planning, budgeting, treasury, cash management and capital planning.

My client is a complex US Listed Multinational Group operating across multiple global jurisdictions and markets, principally within the Technology and Defence sectors.

Description

Outcomes of the role will include:

  • Creation of Finance infrastructure, including the hiring of Finance team and the suitable use of shared services from within the Group, to meet and exceed the internal and external financial reporting requirements of the business.
  • Creation of an environment of accurate forecasting and business planning with a focus on the key business levers to drive actual success in line with projections.
  • Communication of appropriate financial analyses to drive understanding and decision making, creating a clear understanding of the opportunities and issues that exist for the business.
  • Operating reviews are held with clear concise information throughout the organisation that are designed to support the business requirements and drive decisions.
  • Management of processes and controls that support the requirements of a US listed business, including SOX and FCPA, and which are appropriately tailored to create efficiency and scalability within this dynamic environment.
  • Management of financial and system resources to meet all internal and external financial reporting requirements for the Division.
  • Contribution and involvement in broader Group collaboration efforts.

    • Profile

    The successful candidate must :

  • Meet the requirement for a commercially astute, articulate, technically strong, dynamic, insightful and influential leader with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
  • Have experience and understanding of software licensing and the issues to address for revenue recognition.
  • Have the ability to manage across a multi-site, geographically disperse Division.
  • Have experience of working for a large US corporation - understanding the impact of US GAAP reporting, SOX compliance and adherence to FCPA requirements.
  • Have the intrinsic ability to interpret analyses and the impact on the performance of the business
  • Be able to thrive in a fast-paced growth environment.
  • Be autonomous, passionate and highly motivated to provide support to aid the quality of decision making for the business.
  • Possess strong system skills and the ability to visualise analytics to influence the business leaders of the sector.
  • Be a fully qualified CCAB accountant.
