Client Details
My client is a large, British owned consultancy based in South West London. They are in a period of change, with a lot of exciting projects underway. They are looking to bring in two people immediately - on a fixed term contract, or permanent basis.
Description
The role will predominantly be involved in management accounts, project accounting & business partnering work, while the incumbent will be picking up work from various parts of the business. You will be the face of finance to the operations teams & will be partnering closely with project managers & operational functions.
Some key responsibilities include:
- Preparation of the operating units reporting pack
- Being the first point of contact locally for finance related questions and deliverable
- Supporting the local PMD & BU Mgrs in financial analysis to support decisions
- Supporting the team with the provision of accurate financial accounts for the partnership together with analytical review. Allowing for the efficient consolidation of period and year end results
- Preparation of the audit deliverable & liaising with auditors
- Creating the operating units annual budget
- Consolidation of the budget data for creation of a budget pack for the legal entity
- Working with Cash & Treasury and Operations teams to review & qualify bid proposals and contracts prior to client submission
- Attending/ leading project review meetings with project managers throughout the projects life cycle
- Preparation of the Operating unit's reporting pack
- Other ad hoc duties as required
Profile
The successful candidate will have experience in the following:
- degree-level education
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Management Accounts experience
- Comfortable with period end accounting
- Project accounting experience & a good knowledge of accounting for WIP
- Experience working with foreign currencies & entities
- strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication
Ideally this candidate will be available on a short notice period (0-2 weeks), however candidates with longer notice periods will be considered
Job Offer
There are two roles with this business - one is a 12 month fixed term contract, the other an interim to permanent position. Both will be recruited for ASAP.
