A new opportunity as arisen to join a well-established company within the food manufacturing industry at their factory in Coventry. The company are looking to hire a hardworking and conscientious Finance Assistant to join their finance team on a permanent basis. This role is perfect for someone looking to start a career in accountancy and finance.


Your new role
As Finance Assistant you will be working 8-5 and responsible for producing invoices on factory order processing, allocating payments and reconciling both bank and supplier statements through Sage. You will be working with excel to create summaries of accounts on a weekly basis and every Monday will be responsible for the processing of time sheets. Within credit control you will be expected to list outstanding amounts and invoice finance, credit notes and discounts. One day a week you will also be expected to arrive early to register employee attendance. Although desirable you do not need previous experience in the financial market.


What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will need to be confident and easy going. Able to efficiently build rapport with colleagues and work well within a team, you will not be afraid to help out your colleagues. You will need to be competent with Excel with high attention to detail. You will also need strong communication skills as you will be liaising with people both internally and externally.
