Accounts Assistant Vacancy - Sheffield - £18,000 per annum - Providing administrative support to finance team.

Your new company
You will be working for a specialist healthcare provider based in Sheffield, who work in partnership with the NHS.

Your new role
You will be employed as an Accounts Assistant, providing administrative support to the finance department.
As part of your role, you will take responsibilities for specific duties within the finance team under direction from the Finance Manager.

You will be part of a team who manage and co-ordinate the finance function for the organisation, with a head office in Sheffield. You will be first point of contact for all patients, insurers, NHS contacts, suppliers and consultants.

  • To deal with telephone calls and general enquiries
  • To provide accurate, prompt and efficient administrative support to the Finance Team
  • To work flexibly giving assistance to other staff members and to provide cover in the absence of other administrative staff within the Finance Team as required
  • Be proficient in the use of Microsoft applications, using applications such as Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint on a daily basis
  • Be proficient in the use of SAGE
  • Jointly responsible for the of billing of NHS and Private Patients
  • Jointly responsible for distributing NHS and Private Practice invoices
  • Jointly responsible recording the receipt of payments
  • Jointly responsible entering purchase invoices on SAGE
  • Jointly responsible creating invoices Sales Invoices for Medical Implants
  • Jointly responsible maintaining the departments various filing systems
  • Undertake specific pieces of work, for example produce information as required by the team


What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have good team working, communication (particularly over the telephone), organisation, IT (Office) and time management skills, able to work under pressure to meet deadlines with a strong attention for detail.

Previous experience working in the Healthcare sector is preferable however not essential for this role.
