Job Description : Reports To : Origin Consultants Pvt Ltd an Executive Search Services Company has been retained by a US$26.6 Billion Tax Advisory Service Provider to identify a Senior Manager Indirect Tax to be based at Mumbai Job Description As a Senior Manager Indirect Tax your responsibilities include the following Lead large tax recovery assignments, including analysis and manipulation of client data, identifying topical tax issues, and determining applications of exemptions, rebates, etc. Lead business development initiatives on target accounts, contributing to winning new work Input into development of new market opportunities locally and nationally with an opportunity to lead the market development of the new ideas Meet with clients to identify and discuss issues pertaining to Indirect Tax advisory Conduct research on tax issues and tax legislation Liaise with tax authorities on client inquiries or issues Prepare reports and opinions to clients related to Indirect Tax advisory Prepare refund claims and submissions for tax recoveries to clients or government bodies Proactively take relevant and valuable tax ideas to clients to grow the practice Contributing to enhancement of relationships with targets and clients Build relationships at a senior level and be seen as a trusted business advisor Participate in the development and delivery of training programs Actively mentor and coach team members to their highest potential Create a learning environment through leadership Identifying cross service line opportunities Contributing to existing team spirit and ensuring coming to work is fun Desired Candidate Profile CA with 7 to 10 years of experience in Indirect Tax which includes VAT, Goods and Services Tax, Sales Tax, Business Tax and similar transaction taxes. Consulting and compliance indirect tax experience is needed; experience in dealing with indirect tax in accounting / ERP systems is desirable. A proven track record with handling indirect tax issues, regulations, disputes, audits and rulings is preferred. Excellent research skills, coupled with strong written and verbal communication skills required Strong project management, co-ordination and presentation skills required.
