Job Description : Reports To : Origin Consultants Pvt Ltd an Executive Search Services Company has been retained by a Global Leader in Tax Advisory Services to identify Manager Direct Tax to be based at Pune Job Description As Manager Direct Tax your responsibilities include the following Administer all direct tax processes and compliance, including corporate tax, transfer pricing tax, tax financials related certifications, fringe benefit tax, withholding tax and payroll tax work. Lead and coordinate the tax planning and tax management of assignments, with guidance from the Partner and manage risk and independence issues on client engagements. Prepare submissions and attend to assessment and appeal hearings before tax authorities in connection with the above Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with the tax authorities, relevant members of the business and functional teams, other members of the local tax and international tax teams and external service providers. Preparation of Tax GFOs, forecasts, deferred tax charge reporting etc and analysis of key tax drivers Assist with the formation and modification of key tax processes including compliance, related systems and automation of the same Support and provide assurance to the Head of Tax on advisory projects or special projects supporting proposed and/or existing businesses Assist tax partners and senior management on proposals and business development calls. Support the tax risk management and assurance process in the Group Tax function Take responsibility for proper tax filing and tax document retention in relation to the direct tax compliance matters Work with external service providers in relation to any of the above, as and when necessary Supervise, train, and mentor associates and interns on tax projects and assess performance of staff for engagement reviews; perform in-charge role as needed. Maintain a good working relationship with clients to enhance customer satisfaction and work with client management and staff at all levels to perform tax services.
