Job Description : To efficiently manage the entire tax function (direct tax as well as indirect tax). Ensuring timely compliance, minimizing risks through proper and timely guidance and availing of various benefits and concessions available under the Tax laws through tax planning. Tax Compliance: To ensure that the various Tax requirements are complied with on a timely basis. In case of Direct Taxes Advance Tax Payments, Return filings and Tax Audit filings, Transfer Pricing report etc is done as per the statutory requirements. In case of Indirect taxes, service tax payments, VAT payments and returns are done as per the timelines. Tax Litigation: Representing before the Tax Authorities for the purpose of Tax Assessment for the bank and assisting the tax counsel to represent before the appellate authorities at various stages such as CIT (A), ITAT, HC level. Tax Planning and advisory: To advice business about the changes in the tax laws, to guide on matters relating to TDS, Service Tax, VAT etc. To explore the possibilities for optimizing the effective tax rate for the bank.
