This Dunstable based Engineering company is looking to recruit an Interim Finance Manager for a period of 6 months. Reporting to the Financial Controller and Head of Sales UK you will manage a team of 2 Finance Assistants and be a key member of the Senior Management team running the Finance department on a day to day basis and providing financial and commercial support to the wider business. Key responsibilities Group Daily/weekly/monthly management reporting as required to group timetable Preparation of Budgets / Forecasts in group format to group timetable in conjunction with other members of SMT Manage annual statutory audit and preparation of statutory accounts in accordance with group finance team to group timetable Oversee completion of Corporation Tax return in accordance with group tax team and external tax advisors Internal Control reporting and ownership of actions to improve ICD scores for the business Ensuring compliance with group policies in all areas of the business Local Business Commercial support/reporting for SMT to include but not limited to - Sales reporting, Margin analysis, Inventory management, Customer Relationship Management, Credit decisions Management of agreed customer rebates Assist with meeting the standards of ISO 9001 Assist in the IT management / support for ERP system Site contact for HR communications. Manage/process the monthly payroll for all employees, including all required statutory returns/payments by required deadlines Assist with the Management of any legal claims/property issues in conjunction with other members of the SMT Management of two Finance Assistants to include annual performance appraisal, agreeing personal objectives/development requirements and mentoring development of Finance Assistant to ensure deliverables are achieved Management of any other issues that may come to light as a result of daily business activities that require support/resolution This role would suit a collaborative individual who can quickly establish open communicative relationships with a small team and also with the wider business community within the Group. The business has projects planned for the start of 2019 including a systems implementation which will require the Financial Controller's input requiring this person to then deputise in his absence and take on more responsibility. You must be a hands-on qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), willing to take on transactional processing duties when necessary, with a desire to improve processes whenever possible and work hard as part of a small team to meet targets at key reporting times and to ensure compliance. Proficiency in Exact and JDE (JD Edwards) would be highly beneficial as would systems implementation experience, and you must have advanced Excel skills. This is an interim role paying £250 - £325 per day depending on experience.
