Senior Credit Controller Bury, Greater Manchester

Salary:
up to £25,000 Monday to Thursday 8.30am-5.30pm and Fridays 8.30am-3.00pm Maternity Cover for 18 months Senior Credit Controller The Role Working within the credit control function ensuring effective cash collection; management of sales ledger and invoice finance requirements; accurate review and monitoring of customer credit; assisting with supervision of credit controllers. Day to day management of the team and overview of the whole sales ledger to ensure cash collection is maximised and risks appropriately addresses and raised to managers Control of the process for invoice finance daybook uploads and reporting (weekly) and assisting with queries in relation to monthly reconciliations. Provide support as required to other credit control team members Ensure the system accurately reflects the credit limits and MEPS in place, monitoring temporary and time restricted limits and accounts nearing their MEP, taking action as required. Actively manage forecasted credit requirements, working with other departments and raising issues as necessary. Ownership of chasing debt, allocating payments in accordance with customer remittances, issuing statements / reminder letter and resolving queries for allocated accounts. Investigating and resolving queries relating to non-payment of invoices, particularly on more complex aged accounts. Completion of daily duties (banking, reporting, new customers etc. as necessary) Assist in departmental improvements (credit policies, IT system developments etc.) Prepare supporting documents for potential claims. Senior Credit Controller The Candidate 5 years' experience in a credit control role. Excel - intermediate level (to create Pivot tables and lookups) Attention to detail and accuracy skills Problem solving ability Excellent interpersonal skills, able to develop good relationships with colleagues and to effectively communicate at all levels. Calculating discounts and raising credits Microsoft Navision experience would be ideal.
