Global Financial Analyst - Chesterfield - £45,000 - £70,000 Chase and Holland are partnering exclusively with a large global business based in Chesterfield in their search for a Global Financial Analyst. You'll work alongside the VP Finance and Regional FDs for your business unit and provide business critical reporting, budgeting and analysis alongside global counterparts. This role involves international travel and in time, possible relocation. The ideal candidate will be degree educated and be able to show fast progression throughout their career so far. Responsibilities Prepare monthly financial reports in support of Global Business Identify, investigate and report on unusual variances in the monthly reporting Prepare monthly balance sheet reporting and key KPI's for each region/country Work with Regional and local finance and business heads to follow up on unusual or unfavourable trends Prepare Ad Hoc reports to assist the Business Unit President and VP Finance for monitoring of regional performance Control and assist in the generation of the various consolidations and presentations required for the periodic business reviews, projections and budgets Work with VP Finance to monitor regional budget submissions and prepare global budgets for the Holdings departments Provide support and analyses as required by HQ in support of the Global Business Work with Functional VP's to provide timely information on capital projects, headcount and/or key tracking of new product introductions Share best practice in terms of financial reporting and work with local finance teams to improve consistency and reliability of financial data Educate and support end users in their reporting needs: sales and profitability analysis, financial analysis, production, inventory etc. The scope includes Business Intelligence (BI) content, processes and applications such as Service Contract (CMS), Invoice Consolidation (IC2), Master Data, Sales Budget, Excel for BI, Cognos10. Assist in the implementation of Lean and the development of standard business practices in the global business Skills and Behaviour: In depth understanding of accounting Ability to analyse financial data and prepare financial reports Ability to prepare concise written communications Ability to work in a team environment Ability to influence and implement changes without direct reporting line Proficient in use of IT systems to provide financial reporting Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Excel for BI, Cognos 10 Inventive, independent, high level of personal involvement and energy, natural drive to make things happen Ability to work under pressure - responsiveness and on time in full reporting Strong analytical skills - systematic approach and clear focus Willingness to travel extensively Ability to operate across a variety of cultures High level of complexity from accounting and systems perspectives - Excellent understanding of business processes, reporting processes and information flows. Must work in a team environment, ability to influence Judgement involved in identifying what is usual or a variance worth investigating Ideally, you'll be a qualified accountant competent in a manufacturing environment with experience working in Management Accounting/Financial Planning & Analysis.
