We are looking for someone to spearhead pricing and drive a shift in how we package and price our broad portfolio of software products within the UK. This is an opportunity to drive meaningful impact in the next phase of growth for The Access Group. This is a highly collaborative role working closely with product line managers, finance, sales, marketing and executive management. A successful candidate will also have a high dose of curiosity, strong communication skills, the ability to think strategically and tactically, and a get it done attitude. Responsibilities §Own strategic and tactical price setting processes: §Product Packaging/Bundling: Develop solution line-ups with clear value propositions to meet or stimulate market needs and drive cross/up-sell holistically across products and customer segments. Translate the packaging into pricing (metrics and levels). §List prices: Manage regular review of list prices across all products / channels / segments incl. review of impact of past price changes, assess increase opportunities, and suggest price changes. §Renewal pricing: review annual renewal pricing taking into consideration value delivered, length of customer tenure, usage, discounting, product version. §Specific initiatives: Work together with product line directors on individual pricing and top line growth initiatives as and when required. §Set the course for pricing: §Work with product line directors, and executive management to understand business goals and objectives for products / segments / channels related to pricing and packaging. Considering market / competitive dynamics, market positioning, value proposition and product lifecycle. §Identify gaps between as-is and to be, and help prioritise action areas. §Translate strategy into a pricing approach that drives the customer behaviour to align with strategy (e.g. cross-selling, drive solution sales, transition to SaaS, etc.) §Be a repository for pricing-related market intelligence: §Collect and analyse input from customers, sales teams, and secondary research to understand current strategies, positioning and areas for improvement. §Perform primary market research and analysis and understand competitive landscape dynamics. §Develop best practices and provide thought leadership: §Act as the internal subject matter expert on pricing (metrics, models, packaging, price levels, pricing approaches, new product pricing, etc.). §Work closely across functions to develop and share best practices. §Provide strategic and tactical recommendations to senior management for enhanced pricing. §Drive cross-functional decision making: §Lead the company Pricing Committee to review proposed pricing changes and new propositions on a quarterly basis. §Influence senior executives to gain alignment on pricing and packaging recommendations. §Operationalise pricing: §Assist to develop discount guidelines, and pricing KPIs working collaboratively with sales operations §Monitor KPIs, follow-up on deviations, identify action steps to resolve. Requirements §8-10 years of total work experience with progressive responsibilities in a market-facing and commercial role such as product marketing, product management or strategy consulting. §5 years of experience in pricing and packaging related to B2B technology/software incl. SaaS models and multi-product companies. §Proven ability to identify and develop solutions to complex cross-functional problems from a strategic and operational perspective using multiple sources of data and information (e.g. sales team expertise, secondary research, primary customer research, data analysis). §Ability to understand complex concepts, and communicate those concepts within all levels of the organisation. §Track record of successfully presenting, obtaining cross-functional buy-in and implementing ideas that drive value and impact. §Highly organised with ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders at once. §Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics or business.
