An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant role within a world-class Digital Print facility based in Macclesfield. This is an amazing opportunity for an ambitious individual with relevant accounting experience to join a growing team where they can really grow within the role and make a difference. In order to be successful in this role it is essential that the candidate has a positive attitude, willingness to learn, ambition to grow and the ability to work well within a team. We are looking for an individual with a real passion for work and an eye for detail. It is essential that the successful candidate is an excellent communicator and also able to work on their own initiative. Reporting to the Director, they will also be integral to the flow of the business by supporting artroom and production staff to ensure accurate paper trail for managing processes, providing high quality production and ensuring correct invoicing. The primary duties of the advertised role is to support the Director and company in performing a variety of general accounting tasks including, but not limited to: Generating invoices and receiving customer payments Updating and maintaining accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions (e.g. disbursements, expense vouchers, receipts, accounts payable) Verifying the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records Entering data into computer system using defined computer programs (SAGE 50) Compile data and prepare a variety of reports Reconcile records with internal company employees and management, or external vendors or customers Recommend actions to resolve discrepancies Investigate questionable data Managing purchases of consumables and arranging maintenance issues Key competencies: A 'can do', positive, professional attitude and a strong work ethic Commitment to customer service and support Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Desire to initiate & drive continuous improvement initiatives/problem-solving skills Reliability and efficiency Ability to multi-task and prioritise work Be willing and available for a variety of tasks Organisational skills and attention to detail Qualifications: Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
