Due to an internal transfer, the OBIEE team is looking for a new team member to help manage our global OBIEE instance connected to Oracle E-Business Suite. In addition to demonstrable OBIEE experience, candidates with exposure to data visualisation tools such as Tableau and Power BI are particularly relevant. The Global Finance Centre of Excellence has team members based in Malaysia, UK, Bulgaria North America and Latin America. This business facing role helps to support 300 finance employees across the UK&I and EMEA regions, including the Global Finance Services teams in Nottingham and Sodia, and finance colleagues located in countries across the region. This includes responsibility for user training and support, query resolution, maintenance and improvements to service levels and delivery of new/enhanced content to the application. The role gives exposure to Experian's OBIEE and Oracle EBS applications, providing the opportunity to learn about how these financial reporting systems interact with each other, how they are used, and about the global processes that underpin Experian's operations. Brief summary of department The Global Finance Centre of Excellence team (28 employees) is a global team serving Experian's finance teams from four locations: the primary global hub is in Nottingham (UK) with regional support in Costa Mesa (USA), Colombia and Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia). The team consists of finance & IT specialists who work together to help manage Experian's financial reporting systems, processes and projects to help maintain and improve the integrity, accuracy and consistency of group financial accounting and reporting. The team is also actively involved in defining the strategy, development and deployment of new reporting applications and management information tools to Experian. The successful applicant will work closely on a daily basis with OBIEE team members in North America and Malaysia, as well as other members of the Centre of Excellence team. In addition, the team partners closely with Experian's Global Corporate Systems (GCSS) team to update the application with new reports, dashboards and content. Role description - Supporting and delivering change Work closely with business users to understand reporting requirements Review and approve requests for changes and new reports Develop report and dashboard designs/specifications Coordinate onshore/offshore COE/GCSS development of new reports and changes as necessary, ensuring alignment with global reporting standards, delivery of adequate testing and managing the controlled transition from development to UAT to Production Ensure compliance with change management processes and documentation requirements. Assist GCS with planning and testing of software patches and upgrades User adoption and support Work with users and GCS to identify, diagnose and resolve incidents with OBIEE Drive best-practice usage of OBIEE across the finance user community Support regional/departmental power users in creating reports, Agents and dashboards and investigate / resolve errors or problems arising Deliver end user training as needed Provide advice and guidance to users on BI capabilities Governance and documentation Provide governance to ensure and maintain ongoing standardization of global reporting Define global reporting standards including design, naming conventions etc. Maintain training materials and update as necessary Work with the HFM, Planning, Essbase, and DRM admins in the CoE to ensure system integration efficiencies and maximum BI system effectiveness (e.g., most up to date hierarchies and relevant metrics) Data visualisation Opportunity to help establish or contribute to a new data visualisation support team Required experience and education Experience of using OBIEE Experience of working in an accounting/finance function Strong IT skills (including Excel) with a focus on improving processes Preferred experience and skills (not mandatory as can be learned) OBIEE end user report building experience with financial subject areas Knowledge of Agents and BI Publisher Knowledge of Oracle EBS and Experian's financial processes Experience of other data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau Working in global/virtual team environment and a high number of stakeholders VBA/Macro level in Excel Knowledge of SQL and HTML Other people skills Must be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills Proven customer service track record Excellent attention to detail Strong time-management ability and motivation to succeed Demonstrate personal qualities that establish credibility with all stakeholders
