13998 Wakefield Purchase Ledger Clerk 9-5 Competitive Salary An exciting opportunity to join a well-established and expanding company has arisen with my client based in Wakefield. The ideal candidate will come from a similar position and have an enthusiasm and interest within finance. The role will assist, and contribute, to the smooth and effective running of the finance team, alongside the head of finance and wider department. The duties will include: Ensure that purchase invoices are approved before input, either by matching with purchase order and goods received note or by seeking signature authorisation, as necessary Resolve - with the help of relevant staff and with suppliers - any unmatched or not agreed invoices Support the preparation of Purchase Ledger payment runs Track and control the flow of purchase invoices up to payment Carry out supplier reconciliations and follow up and resolve old (unmatched) items in the purchase Ledger Manage the Reviewing Outstanding Purchase orders each month Reconcile on a monthly basis the GRNI (Goods Received Not Invoiced) Accrual account and resolve issues Analyse purchase invoice entries in the GL, ensuring that they are posted correctly and described correctly Fixed asset register updates & depreciation calculations Monthly stocktake and reconciliation of stock and profit in the General Ledger Monthly checking and posting of expenses claims Holiday cover for Credit Control To carry out any other duty as and when required by the Directors Skills and experience required: Experience using SAP is desirable, however not essential Previous experience within a similar role is essential High attention to detail Enthusiastic yet professional This vacancy is being advertised on behalf of Bagnall Hopkins Recruitment who is operating as an employment agency/business.
