RattrayParkin are delighted to be recruiting for a permanent Group Management Accountant to join a highly successful Manufacturing Company based in the East Midlands As a key member of the finance team, the role entails provision of accurate, high quality financial information and analysis in a timely fashion, in order to facilitate effective business decision making and support, enabling sustained step change in business performance whilst minimising risk, liaising with internal and external stakeholders and reporting to the group financial controller Key duties
• Preparation of accurate monthly management accounts, adherence to company deadlines and provide insight and analysis of movements versus budget and prior month
• Full balance sheet control and management - "environment of no surprises"
• Vat Returns
• Develop reporting measures within the business that directly reflect the underlying performance of the business through KPI's
• Preparation of year end information and schedules that facilitate the year end audit
• Provision of high-quality financial information and analysis in a timely fashion that facilitates effective business decision making and support.
• Track and monitor capital projects including post investment reviews
• Enhance management understanding through ongoing provision of information and education, hence promoting a cost awareness culture
• Site Visits \ Ad-hoc
• Ideal Fully Qualified or studying towards ACA, CIMA or ACCA
• Experience of a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Strong analytical skills and highly numerate
• Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
• Able to plan the activities and priorities own workload
• Experience of lean thinking in finance and / or system process improvements - able to develop new ways of working to streamline operations and remove non value-added financial activities
• Tenacious in desire to implement effective and sustained improvement
• Able to work effectively and influence across functions without direct control
• Has the courage to and is willing to challenge and question the status quo
