Come and join the NGP Family. The Role Due to our unparalleled global growth, we are looking to strengthen our existing financial management team for our head office in Gateshead, UK. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the North East's fastest growing companies. The job will suit an ambitious qualified management accountant who is hard working and flexible enough to deal with rapid change and who constantly strives for improvement Directly responsible for a minimum of two junior managers Produce individual and consolidated multi-currency financial statements including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, cash flows, monthly management accounts, variance analysis and commentaries Lead in the production of the annual budget and periodic financial forecasting Provide management reporting for decision-making, including KPI monitoring, project appraisal, evaluation and post-implementation analysis On-going review of cash flow and production of both short term and longer term cash forecasts Produce annual statutory accounts in management accounts format with appropriate year-end adjustments Negotiating and project management of ad hoc projects, loans and grants Manage capital expenditure Report on company assets and liabilities including balance sheet account reconciliations and review of intangible assets Ensure compliance with all financial regulations Carry out continuous reviews of working accounting practices and processes to ensure efficient and cost effective operations Monitor accuracy of internal CRM reporting system Assist and fill in for the Financial Director and Financial Accountant as required from time to time Developing financial policies with assistance from the F.D. Other ad-hoc requirements as needed from time to time Report to the Finance Director Desirable: Calculation, presentation and payment of VAT The Person Qualified Accountant with minimum 5 years' experience Proven technical and numerical ability Understanding of modern management information systems Excellent ability with Excel Ability to manage, delegate, motivate, monitor and control team activity. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels with both financial and non-financial management Intellectual with a strong commercial acumen Flexible, team based attitude to help out where necessary Works efficiently to tight deadlines and can juggle competing demands Very good accuracy and eye for detail Knowledge of Sage 50 is desirable but not necessary Why work for us?
