Our client is an established manufacturer with easily accessible offices in Huntingdon. They are now looking for someone to join their small finance team in a Financial Controller role, ideally on a temporary to permanent basis. The role will have responsibility for the day-to-day finance function, report in to the Finance Director and responsibilities will include; Preparing monthly management accounts, reviewing budget vs forecasts Preparing the annual budget for submission to board Looking at ways to continually improve financial and management reporting Managing a small team Looking at ways to optimise working capital Working closely with FD to maintain strong working relationships with banks and Auditors Ad hoc project work The suitable candidate will be ACCA or CIMA post-qualified and will have a good understanding of manufacturing processes and hands-on experience in the sector. Experience working with Sage would be a distinct advantage, but additionally advanced Excel skills are essential. This role will play a key part in integrating the finance function with the wider business and partnering with key stakeholders. In an ideal world, the right candidate will be available to start the position in January, but candidates on a month's notice will also be considered.
