Assistant Management Accountant 6M Fixed Term Contract Overall Purpose of the role - The main purpose of this post is to support the Financial Accountant in the production of consistent and accurate financial and KPI information for the Group's UK Division, and to assist with the development and production of improved cash flow and balance sheet reporting. Main Duties of the role - Assist in the production of periodic financial and KPI reports for the division for submission to the UK senior leadership team and to Group Finance. Assist with analysis of the division's cash flow and support the Financial Accountant in expanding and improving current reporting. Preparation of National Statistics, CPT and DFT returns. Assist with the allocation to operating companies of centrally controlled revenue streams and ensure appropriate balance sheet reconciliations are prepared. To assist with budgeting and forecasting process Preparation and posting of journals. Assist with the continuous improvement of processes, and be proactive in identifying opportunities to improve current working methods and generate efficiency's. To undertake any other reasonable tasks requested by the Financial Accountant or member of the management team. Essential Skills and Qualifications - Excellent communication: oral, written and interpersonal skills. Excellent IT skills (Excel advance - Vlookup, pivot tables, macros) with quick navigation skills on systems. Ability to prioritise responsibilities under pressure and be self-motivating. Quick to grasp new processes, procedures and concepts. Excellent time management skills Must have a minimum of 12 month's relevant experience working in an accounts environment.
