John Crane is seeking to recruit a talented individual to join the organization at its Slough, Berkshire, UK site, as Senior Manager, International Trade Compliance - EMEA, responsible for leading and driving John Crane's international trade compliance program in the EMEA region. Responsibilities:
Manage and drive John Crane's international trade compliance program in the EMEA region. Implement Smiths Group trade compliance policies and procedures at John Crane in EMEA, and coordinate Smiths Group and John Crane international trade compliance goals and activities in EMEA with Smiths and John Crane business leaders and trade compliance function personnel. Provide direction to John Crane business units operating in EMEA on aligning with local and foreign (including U.S.) requirements applicable to their trade activity in the region. Manage at the Slough site and assist with at John Crane's other EMEA sites (as required), John Crane's trade compliance activities in EMEA, including product classifications, export licensing, import permitting and customs clearing, restricted party screening, recordkeeping, and self-assessments. Monitor, measure and report on John Crane business units' adherence to applicable local and foreign laws, regulations and procedures in the conduct of trade activity in EMEA. Coordinate regular internal periodic assessments of John Crane's activities in regard to trade compliance in EMEA. Provide direction to John Crane business units on the development and implementation of trade strategies in EMEA. Help coordinate and guide John Crane in the event of an investigation of the business relating to trade compliance in EMEA. Monitor changes to laws, regulations, and requirements in EMEA with a view of understanding and advising John Crane on the potential impact. Required Skills and Experience: Degree or equivalent Demonstrable recent experience in handling global international trade issues within a complex global supply chain environment. Experience with export and import controls, economic sanctions, anti-bribery/anti-corruption and other trade laws, regulations and requirements administered by jurisdictions in EMEA. Experience with export and import controls, economic sanctions, anti-bribery/anti-corruption, and other trade laws, regulations and requirements applicable in EMEA that are administered by jurisdictions outside of the region, particularly by the United States. Experience in developing and deploying compliance policies, processes and procedures. Well-developed skills in project programme definition and management. Experience with SAP ERP and SAP GTS. Experience conducting compliance audits and drafting reports. Experience assisting with internal investigations of potential non-compliance. Experience in developing and delivering training programs. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent attention to detail.
