Hays Accountancy & Finance are currently partnering with a leading and well-established Manufacturing group based in Tewkesbury for a driven and dynamic Financial Accountant. Supporting the Financial Controller you will assist in the running of the Finance Department in a newly created position. Open to both candidates from industry or looking for their 1st move outside of practise.
Your new role
Your key duties will involve preparing and submitting results into the group reporting database, preparing month-end and year-end reports, statutory reporting and completion of corporation tax. You will prepare and submit VAT returns, ensure internal controls are applied effectively, liaise with external auditors, foreign exchange reporting, reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, cash flow management and recharging of costs within the group. You will be expected to supervise/support a small finance team, control/reporting of non-operating profit transactions along with completion of monthly payrolls and weekly expenses.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this exciting Financial Accountant role, you will need to be part-qualified/newly-qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA with strong MS Excel skills and a solid technical background. This position is open to candidates from industry along with finance professionals looking for their 1st move outside of practise. Strong communication skills are essential along with the ability to manage work-loads towards time-constraint deadlines. Experience with staff management and having worked within the manufacturing sector would be advantageous but not essential.
