An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Finance and Resources to join a small but established health charity responsible for funding some of the most notable medical breakthroughs in women's health in the past 50 years. This role will work closely with the Chief Executive, Board of Trustees and Senior Leadership team to provide full and comprehensive financial management for the charity. You will also be responsible for HR, including payroll, IT and office management. Provision of robust financial advice to the senior leadership Co-ordination, including attendance and document preparation, for the quarterly meetings with the Trustees and Audit Committee meeting and Investment Committee meeting Support and co-operation with the committee members throughout the year Delivery of timely and complete financial reporting, including management accounts and cash flow forecasting Preparation of the statutory accounts and liaison with auditors Administration of grant payments and close liaison with the Research Manager Oversight of the HR function (including payroll), IT and Office management, ensuring that ensuring compliance as well as all other statutory and external requirements and regulations Responsibility for ensuring that appropriate insurance cover is in place for property, assets and personnel The ideal with candidate will be a fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIPFA, CIMA) with several years' post qualification experience in both financial and management accounting functions. You will be comfortable dealing with senior leadership and have both strong written and oral communication skills. This role will be extremely hands on operationally. You will ideally have experience in a fundraising charity.
