Responsibilities:
Experienced accountant responsible for producing the monthly management accounts to a very high standard within agreed time frames for reporting to our key stakeholders. Will work closely with other members of the finance team including the billing and credit control team.Key areas of responsibility will include: Manage the production of the consolidated Optionis Limited monthly management accounts (P&L, BS, CFS, KPIs) including its subsidiaries: SJD Accountancy, Nixon Williams, Optionis Group Limited and future acquisitions Analyse and provide commercial commentary on actual variances against budget and forecast Adhere to the monthly timetable for the management accounts team Management of a small management accounting and purchase ledger team Prepare and review the monthly prepayments, accruals, payroll, fixed assets, provisions, commissions and other relevant P&L / BS schedules to a high standard and post monthly journals Review all monthly balance sheet reconciliations produced by the team Liaise effectively with other areas of finance collating and providing the necessary information (e.g. CFO, FC, systems analyst, billing/ credit control) and other areas of the business (HR, Operations, Sales and Marketing). Invoice and post monthly management recharges and reconcile intercompany accounts Prepare monthly VAT reconciliations and submit quarterly VAT returns Provide necessary information for year-end audit and corporation tax returns Assist in preparation of annual budget and quarterly reforecasts for the Optionis Group. Prepare underlying forecast schedules for key revenue and cost lines Assist in other ad-hoc projects as requested by the CFO and FC in order to fulfill the monthly deliverable requirements of the Group finance team Provide cover for other members of staff as and when required Requirements: Extensive industry accounting and team management experience ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified Previous consolidation experience Strong Excel skills and knowledge of SAGE 200 Experience of working in a SME environment is preferred Experience of acquisitions and integrations is preferred Ability to produce accurate, robust and reliable information which is consistent across the business Trust and confidentially with access to information Excellent mathematical, written and verbal communication skills Excellent time and project management skills Ability to meet targets in a high-pressured environment This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/84731777
