This is a not the kind of payroll role that comes up often An extremely exciting opportunity has arisen to cover Maternity leave within a company which is recognised for its fantastic culture. This role will suit somebody who thrives in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment - there will be no chance of boredom in this role This role can be worked over 4 days of your choice and, as such, offers excellent work life balance. Duties: End-to-end payroll - full preparation, submission and review of the monthly payroll and all other payroll associated duties Ad-hoc payments and deductions including SSP, maternity and paternity pay Successful resolution of queries for colleagues on site and across the UK Management of allocation of the numerous and varied employee benefits Calculation of bonuses and commission Provision of payroll information to external bodies such as HMRC Month end payroll journal processing & payroll balance sheet reconciliation Communicating extensively with colleagues in HR and Finance Innovative suggestions for process development and improvement will be encouraged and recognised Experience and attributes required: Previous responsibility for a payroll function within a busy, dynamic environment Proven knowledge of statutory payroll requirements and the ability to identify and incorporate future changes An adaptable and collaborative approach - happy to be challenged and to work in a diverse, lively team who will support and encourage you, enabling you to do a fantastic job Also able to work independently and take accountability - meeting tight deadlines consistently Use of SAGE 200 is advantageous, strong excel skills are also required. The role is based in a lively, open plan office.
