Assistant Accountant

Assistant Accountant + Study Support for a public sector company. Paying £25k offering study support.

Your new company
My client, a public sector company based in Liverpool city centre are looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant on a permanent basis.

Your new role
Reporting into the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for maintaining the companies accounting records and the preparation of annual statutory accounts.

Your duties will include:

• Support head of finance in production of management accounts
• Preparation of monthly accruals & prepayments
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Support payroll function
• Monthly, quarterly and annual returns are completed
• Supporting VAT management and submission of group VAT returns
• Providing support to the AR & AP team
• Attend to queries and issues
• Intercompany transactions and recharges
• Daily cash flow reviews, weekly bank recs and monitoring cash performance.

What you'll need to succeed
Part-Qualified Accounting candidates are desirable, you will have recent and relevant experience working within a similar role. You will have the ability to work to tight deadlines and be an excellent team player.
