Role: The key objective of the Financial Controller role is that of providing the financial reporting for the plant, and effective business partnering. Working collaboratively with the Site Manager, you will take the lead on implementing best practice from a Finance perspective. The successful candidate will provide the senior leadership team with reporting specifically around cost, ensuring robust analysis and challenge as required. Requirements: With a strong background in finance, you will have had exposure to manufacturing, having worked within a plant based finance role. You will own product and process costing, ensuring that yields, labour and direct overhead costs reflect the true manufacturing cost. Working with the plant team, you will ensure that actual costs are recovered and variances are investigated. You will also support the business with effective Capex planning, through the evaluation of proposals and the monitoring of spend across a number of projects on site. Encouraging a culture of best practice, you will seek out continuous improvement and system enhancements. Applicants will need to demonstrate the following: A qualified accountant with experience in manufacturing (food not essential) Experience of SAP Extensive business partnering & cost accounting experience The ability to communicate effectively with the Plant Senior Leadership Team
