On behalf of a business based in the centre of Reading I am recruiting for a Permanent Accounts Payable Specialist to join their expanding finance team.

Client Details

My client are based a short walk from the train station but also offer subsidised parking close to the office. The business has recently been acquired by a large US multi-national and are therefore looking to grow the Reading hub over the next 2-3 years.

Description

The successful candidate for this Permanent Accounts Payable Specialist role will be responsible for the following:

• Obtain approval or match purchase order to invoices for processing
• Process purchase invoices and credit notes in the system
• Coding of invoices and credit notes to the correct nominal accounts
• Ensure accuracy of transaction VAT coding in the purchase ledger
• Ensure that all invoice disputes are passed on to and promptly resolved by the Purchasing function
• Obtain Supplier Statements, perform monthly reconciliation to Supplier accounts
• Ensure that intercompany sales invoices from the US, Asia Hub and DL to the EU Hub
• Review the accuracy of processed intercompany sales invoices/credit notes from the US and Asia Hubs to the EU Hub. Address disputed items with the Finance counterparts of the other Hubs
• Ensure that intercompany sales invoice /credit note summary listings are produced and reconciled each month

Profile

To be considered for this permanent role you must posses the following:

• Experience of transaction accounting work in a high volume environment
• Navision / Microsoft Dynamics accounting software (useful but not required)
• Basic understanding of European VAT for coding
• Competent Excel user
• Working with foreign currencies
