Hays Senior Finance are currently partnered with a leading utility management organisation in Edinburgh to recruit a Finance Business Partner on a temporary basis. This is a full-time equivalent salary of £40-48,000 depending on skills and experience. Your new company is a dynamic and highly reputable organisation and are looking for a motivated and driven individual to join their finance function.

Your new role
As Finance Business Partner, your responsibilities will include leading strategic and commercial decision making, driving cost efficiency idea generation, and supporting the Finance Manager with monthly tasks including accruals and journals to ensure accurate reporting. You will participate in Senior Management meetings discussing performance, and you will mentor and coach junior staff members. You will be involved in key decision making strategies to ensure the growth and development of the business.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified accountant with the experience necessary to come in and hit the ground running in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Essential experience is required of MS packages particularly Excel to undertake complex analysis and preparation of financial statements. You will operate well in a team environment, and you will possess excellent communication skills in order to exchange financial analysis, prepare financial presentations and present them, as well as holding budget, forecast and cost review meetings.
