Looking for an Assistant to join our growing Business Support Services team in Peterborough. The team provides a wide range of management accounting and bookkeeping services to our clients. This is a varied role that will include working both in the office and off-site at client premises

Description

Carrying out accurate bookkeeping services for a wide range of clients

Preparation of VAT returns

Carrying out period end reconciliations and preparing management information to trial balance level

Working with clients to assist with the processing of their accounting records

Advising and training clients on the use of accounting software packages, particularly Sage 50, Sage Business Cloud Accounting, Xero and QuickBooks Online.

Some additional accounts preparation work may be involved.

Profile

An enthusiastic and individual with at least one years experience in the delivery of bookkeeping services and VAT Returns, ideally across a wide range of clients. Knowledge of cloud accounting software packages and Sage is also essential.

Applicants should have either fully or part-completed the AAT or ACCA qualifications.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a commitment to delivering a first class service to clients and the ability to work well as part of team. Good communication skills and attention to detail are essential.

A driving licence and access to transport are required as this role involves regular travel to client premises across Cambridgeshire and the surrounding areas.
