Your new organisation

A new opportunity has arisen with an esteemed property management company. This organisation are second to none on their client engagement and service to the working environment they provide for their employees.


Your new role

They are seeking an experienced Senior Client Accountant to join their team for up to 12 months and Manage all Service Charge Accounting for the whole business. They have a wide spread of clients covering various industry sectors and international presence.

What you will need to succeed

This is a brilliant role for anyone who has a minimum of 2 years experience in property and has covered Service Charges. In this role you will be responsible for taking charge of all the Service Charge accounts, managing the processes and analysing the figures and reports. You wont be responsible for any team members but you will be responsible for over seeing all service charge reporting to ensure everything is running towards the correct KPI's and procedures. Its a great chance to step up and gain exposure/experience.

You role will be inclusive but not restricted to the below:

  • Responsible for the Financial Management clients and properties held within the companies portfolio
  • Responsible for all Ledger balances and Financial Transactions
  • Report on Financial Data directly to client with commentary as required.
  • Liaise with internal and external clients
  • Process changes to property databases (both rental and service charge)
  • Management of service charge year end
  • Production of company trackers
  • Review of Bank Reconciliations to ensure they are actioned and recorded correctly
  • Production of VAT due from or to the client
  • Working closely with the Credit Controller to ensure that all queries are resolved effectively

The role above is a fantastic opportunity for an individual seeking a role to up skill and broaden on their departmental management skills. As part of this role you will also be expected to complete the service charge year end within 3 months of year end, these must include:


  • Audit of expenditure and income
  • Liaison with external auditors
  • Cash reconciliation
  • Close down of year on system including raising of balancing charges or credits
