A well-known brand based in Marlow are currently seeking a Commercial Finance Analyst to join them on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Head of Finance, you will assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, operating plan, variance analysis and special projects. You will use your expertise in the collection, analysis and management of quantitative financial data, as you create meaningful reports for Senior Management. Key
Responsibilities:
Create and update Budget and Forecast files supported by bridges to explain changes Assist in the development of all weekly and monthly financial metrics, alongside all financial planning, forecasting and reporting models Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analysing causes of unexpected variances Provide variance analysis and commentary for any deviations to budget/forecast/last year Assist in the preparation of presentations for the Board of Directors and Executive Leadership Team Work with the IT Team and with data source providers to ensure that key financial decision data is accurate, automated and delivered in a timely fashion Own the continuous development of efficient reporting tools to support decision-making. Wherever possible driving automation into the team's processes Provide a support service by working with all departments and the Management Team to help make financial decisions Ensure all compliance reporting is up to date Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis Skills and Knowledge Required: Part-qualified ACCA / CIMA Significant, relevant experience in similar business analyst positions Advanced Excel essential, with Cognos skills preferred Demonstrable financial acumen, including deep familiarity with concepts of forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis, as well as in root cause data interpretation Comfortable performing ad hoc financial analysis using data reporting tools Proven ability to identify key issues, evaluate relevant data and draw appropriate conclusions The salary being offered for this role is between £35-£40k plus Study Support.
