As Commercial Finance Analyst for TUI Group Purchasing you will have two key areas of responsibility: Hotel Prepayments and working with the Tourist Boards team. The hotel's prepayments involve the Group budgeting and reporting process so that the Group position is properly understood and managing the UK monthly contractual payment process. You will also be business partnering with our Tourist Boards team to make sure that costs and revenue from Group deals are properly reported. As we continue to build our Global Product & Purchasing function we will move from operating as a set of largely independent source markets with common management of procurement towards a more global, integrated function which will accelerate the delivery of our ambitious growth plans. What you will be doing As Commercial Finance Analyst you will be required to consolidate the budget for Group Purchasing prepayments. There is a lot focus on prepayments to hoteliers from a cash flow and risk perspective. You will be required to create and report on the continual view of the function's position in respect of prepayments and any associated risk surrounding this. Further, you will be required to investigate any in-month variances to budget and provide analysis. You will work with the source markets and Group Finance to develop improved periodic reporting on the Group's prepayment position as well as manage the UK contracted payments for all pre-paid committed contracts and scheduled prepayment contracts, ensuring that they are paid correctly and on time. In liaison with the Purchasing team, Master data, Accounts Payable, Hotel Accountants and Regional Payment Co-ordinators you will ensure prompt resolution of committed or prepayment queries; calculate and request payment of all variable prepayments as negotiated by the buying team. You will also continually review payment processes to ensure they comply with the latest finance, audit and business requirements and ensure any ad-hoc manual payments raised comply with the audit and business requirement and are resolved swiftly. Compiling and distributing various reports to prompt or generate actions for other departments, ensuring that where necessary, the Contract Amendment Forms are signed by Supplier and buyers and forward to the Finance team responsible for the change of payment terms as well as ensure the data integrity of contracted payment schedules and long-term agreements will be further responsibilities within the role. Moreover, you will provide support to the Finance Manager to provide a view of the group performance versus this risk in order to highlight/escalate to senior management any potential areas of P&L impact that can be mitigated through joint collaboration within the source markets. Additionally, the role will support the Tourists Boards team by developing reporting to show the costs and income with associated agreements. Through business partnering with the Tourist Boards team, you will help develop insightful reporting to give directors more detail on how the agreements are performing. From time to time, you will be expected to deliver information and ad-hoc analysis with defined narrower scope aligned to the current conditions within the market at a specific moment in time. You may be involved in ad-hoc projects where the Director/Head of Commercial Finance or the Group Purchasing function identify potential to reduce costs/improve margin/drive synergies or where investment can be better allocated to drive higher overall benefit for the Group. What we are looking for Part qualified Accountant or at least two years` experience in a similar role Highly analytical, accurate, numbers driven and process orientated person High proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft applications (particularly PowerPoint) Experience of tour operator and / or product environment preferred Excellent Problem Solving and Numerical skills Experience of SAP and Readsoft advantageous Good communicator with the ability to interact a diverse group of stakeholders and satisfy the information needs International capability - the ability to work with multiple stakeholders across a range of local markets Proven decision making with the ability to manage complexity and ambiguity Commercial acumen The role may require international travel from time to time Working within TUI group TUI Group is the world's number one integrated tourism business operating in around 180 countries worldwide.
