Our client is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their Accountancy team at their offices in Crawley.

Description

Main duties:

• Supporting the accurate and timely completion of the management accounts

• Completion of all Balance Sheet account reconciliations backed up with appropriate documentation and preparation of reconciliations for monthly review

• Responsible for posting of month end journals and adjustments

• Responsible for the completion of daily / weekly group cash reporting requirements

• Managing daily tasks to enable the effective running of the finance department; including working on the accounts payable and receivable ledgers

• Support of group companies statutory reporting and account completion. Liaison with auditors for soft/hard close and statutory accounts completion

• Support of VAT returns in country and ensure is properly accounted for

• Support the Financial Accountant during month end/year end close and budget processes.

Profile

The successful candidate

• Excellent numerical; verbal and written communication skills

• PC literate, with excellent excel and reporting skills

• Proven attention to detail

• Ability to work well with multiple teams and provide effective and positive communication across the business and results driven
• Part qualified or training for a recognised accounting certifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, AAT)
