Accounts Manager

Varied Accounts Manager role with a successful family run business in Hales

Our client is a successful family run business with a well established customer base who have seen strong growth in recent years.


Your new role
Reporting to the directors the purpose of this role is to take full responsibility for the management of the businesses finance function. Key duties include:

Managing the accounts function and ensuring the smooth running of day to day activities
Sales Ledger - invoicing; statements; credit control
Undertake all aspects of purchase ledger administration from invoice processing to payment runs
Managing the credit control function and minimising the risk of bad debt
Reconciling bank statements on a daily basis and investigating any anomalies that occur
Weekly Payroll- PAYE, submitting pension data, real time data
Manage and reconcile company petty cash
Monthly accounts and month end journals
Calculating, preparing and producing quarterly VAT return and submitting online payments to HMRC
Assisting with audits
Other administrative duties as necessary.


What you'll need to succeed
Essential skill/experience:
- AAT Qualified
- Experience using Sage
- Recent experience within a similar role including payroll
