This friendly Bedford based Accountancy Practice is looking for a Part-Time Qualified Accountant to join the growing team and help grow the Client base. Key Aspects of the role Management of your own client portfolio Limited company and sole trader account preparation and filling. Management accounts Managing and mentoring the Assistant Accountant VAT preparation and returns Payroll Occasional bookkeeping In order to apply, you must be a Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) with 3 years in practice. You must be able to evidence experience of Corporation and Personal Tax computation as well as practice experience in payroll, CIS, and VAT. Working knowledge of cloud-based accountancy platforms such as Quickbooks and Xero would be highly beneficial although there will be training provided. As a small practice with a loyal and friendly base of Clients, this is a fast-paced environment and you will be the lead contact for many clients across a range of verticals. You will need to be organised, flexible and approachable with excellent communication skills. The role can be worked in hours to suit the individual and can vary to accommodate school holidays if required from 15 hours per week up to full time. It will be a mix of office-based, client site or working from home subject to agreement. The working hours are reasonably flexible (around school hours) and will be mutually agreed before an offer of employment is made. In return, there is a competitive salary on offer of £35,000 - £40,000 pro rata and the potential to develop the role into a senior/managerial role in the future.
