Interim Head of Financial Reporting Ignata Finance are recruiting an interim Head of Financial Reporting for a large global business in London. This role is likely to last 3-6months. Job Purpose - This role has responsibility for ensuring that the division's financial reporting deadlines are met in compliance to IFRS and SII accounting standards, that strong financial controls are in operation, effective and actively monitored and building a high performing finance function. Responsibilities - Work within Group policies and procedures, with regular reporting to the Director of Reporting and Financial Control Deliver accurate, timely and high quality financial reporting on both a management and statutory basis to the Group Financial Reporting team in line with stated requirements Deliver accurate, timely and high quality Regulatory reporting to the Group Financial Reporting team in line with stated requirements and deadlines Lead best practice financial controls and reporting integration Undertake monthly Balance Sheet review sessions and sign-off for all entities within the division Lead implementation of Group Financial Development Programme initiatives to a high standard and role model high quality financial systems and controls thinking Streamline existing processes to optimise the operating model for Financial Reporting and Control; including systems and processes Ensuring a robust financial control framework is in operation with regular monitoring undertaken Lead the successful and timely completion of all external financial audits across the Market Unit Deliver high quality monthly reporting dashboard in conjunction with the FP&A team Maintain appropriate documentation to evidence the risk assessment of the balance sheet and profit and loss completion of action plans to close control gaps where misstatements or other indications of control weaknesses have been identified Clear any finance related audit issues, identified through both internal and external audits, in accordance with agreed timelines Manage the finance risk registers and ensure accurate attestation is provided against these. Experience and skills required - Qualified accountant Experienced professional with relevant transferable skills gained from working within large multinational or complex organisations Demonstrated high calibre financial understanding and capability, with a clear commercial awareness A track record of personal and career growth through exceeding expectations and objectives Location - London Day rate - £800-900 depending on experience 3-6 months
